Lennox HVAC repair in the East Bay

Lennox systems run proprietary parts and control boards — here is how that changes a diagnostic, not just a repair.

Higher-end Lennox systems (the SL/XC lines) often run a communicating control system paired to a specific thermostat, which means a generic universal board is not always a drop-in fix the way it can be on a simpler system. We carry OEM-compatible parts for the common failure points, not a universal substitute that half-works.

Older Lennox furnaces and condensers behave more like any other legacy system — capacitors, contactors, and igniters fail the same way regardless of badge.

Amperage and refrigerant readings on the condenser side, ignition and flame-proving sequence on the furnace side. On communicating systems we also check the control-board fault history before assuming a part is bad — a logged fault code narrows the diagnosis faster than guessing.

$69 flat diagnostic. Findings in writing before any repair quote.

We do not push a system replacement because it carries a different logo than what we usually install. If a Lennox capacitor or igniter is the actual failure, that is what gets quoted.

Frequently asked questions

Do you work on Lennox communicating systems?

Yes. We check the control-board fault history on SL/XC-series communicating systems before diagnosing further — it usually points straight at the failed component.

Will you push me toward a different brand if I have Lennox?

No. We do not have a brand quota. If a repair is the right call, that is what we quote, regardless of what is on the unit.
