HVAC financing options in the East Bay

What financing actually looks like for an East Bay HVAC install, separate from the rebates and tax credits that stack on top.

Financing spreads the upfront installation cost into monthly payments. Rebates (utility and state-level, see our 2026 rebates guide) reduce what you actually owe, often applied as a credit after installation or claimed separately. Confusing the two leads to bad math — a financed monthly payment does not shrink because a rebate exists; the rebate reduces the total financed amount if applied upfront.

During the free in-home estimate, we separate the numbers clearly: total install cost, what rebates you likely qualify for based on the equipment and your utility provider, and what a financed monthly payment looks like on the remaining amount at a given term.

We do not push financing as the default — some households prefer to pay cash and claim the tax credit directly; others prefer to spread the cost. Both are normal.

Your current utility provider (PG&E service territory) and whether you have had any recent panel or electrical work matters for rebate eligibility more than it does for financing approval itself.

Frequently asked questions

Does financing replace the rebates, or do they work together?

They work together. Financing covers upfront cost; rebates and tax credits reduce the total amount, whether applied before financing or claimed afterward.

Do you require financing through a specific lender?

We walk through the numbers on the estimate so you can compare financing against paying upfront — we are not going to make that decision for you.
