What a holiday or weekend HVAC emergency actually costs
No 24/7 markup here — what a Thanksgiving or Christmas Eve breakdown looks like on our schedule instead.
Some East Bay companies advertise 24/7 service and quote a premium rate for anything outside a weekday window — evenings, weekends, holidays. We do not staff a night shift, and we do not run a holiday-markup pricing tier either. Saturday and Sunday calls are billed the same as a Tuesday.
That said, we are not literally 24 hours — a 2am call goes to the next available 7am–5pm slot, not to an overnight technician. We would rather be upfront about that than advertise 24/7 and have you wait anyway.
If your AC or furnace fails on a Saturday, Sunday, or a holiday that falls within our 7am–5pm window, you get the same $69 diagnostic, the same written findings before any repair quote, and the same technicians — not a stand-in crew running a holiday rate.
Parts availability can shift around a holiday (suppliers closed), which is a scheduling reality we will tell you about upfront, not a pricing one.
A pre-season maintenance visit before the first real heat or cold snap catches most of what turns into a holiday-weekend emergency call — a failing capacitor or a dirty flame sensor rarely picks a convenient day to actually fail.
